The Spanish authorities sent an anti-aircraft missile battery to Latvia.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, in a meeting with his Latvian counterpart Krisjanis Karenz, declared his commitment to ensuring security on the eastern side of NATO.
He stated that Spain reinforced a battalion of more than 500 Spanish soldiers with another 100 soldiers. Sanchez added that they operate under the advanced presence of NATO.
“In addition, Spain has sent an air defense missile battery to the country to strengthen deterrence and prevention efforts,” the minister added.
