Saudi Arabia decides to increase oil production to 13 million barrels

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said the kingdom could increase oil production to a maximum of 13 million barrels per day from the current 10 million.

Bin Salman announced this at the opening of the summit of Arab Gulf heads of state and the President of the United States.

He noted that at this level of raw material production, the country’s capacity to increase hydrocarbon production would run out.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that it will increase its oil production to 13 million barrels per day, after which it will not have the ability to increase production,” the crown prince said.

The day before, bin Salman had held talks with US President Joe Biden. Who came to the Arab country to ask the leadership of the Kingdom to increase oil production against the background of the desire to cut off supplies from Russia, as well as to reduce energy prices that Washington needs due to the rise in gasoline prices.

The day before, the Washington Times wrote that Russia could expect an unexpected victory for US President Joe Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia, where he plans to sign an agreement to increase oil production.
