American coffee chain Starbucks is considering leaving the UK market due to intense competition.
According to the BBC, Starbucks has asked consultancy Houlihan Lockey to help look into potential purchases for its UK chain, which has more than 1,000 coffee shops and around 4,000 employees.
The BBC said the sale of the company could materialize due to intense competition and changing consumer preferences due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The network added that the main company has 300 establishments in the country, while the rest is managed by franchise.
