Ukrainian army begins training on German weapons in Germany
The Ukrainian army has begun training in the use of German self-propelled anti-aircraft guns (SZU) “Gepard”.
According to the newspaper Lübecker Nachrichten, the training takes place at a military training ground in Schleswig-Holstein, including Potlos (East Holstein). It includes at least 100 Ukrainian military.
“Panthers” can hit air targets moving at a speed of up to 400 m / s at an altitude of 100 m to 4 km, as well as ground and surface targets.
In mid-June, the head of the German Defense Ministry, Christina Lambrecht, said that German howitzers would begin to be delivered to Ukraine after the Ukrainian army’s training in their use was completed.
