Exports of Swiss equipment to Russia sharply rise

Exports of Swiss equipment to Russia sharply rise –

According to Swiss customs, exports of equipment from the country to the Russian Federation in May-June 2022 increased sharply due to the desire of manufacturers to have time to fulfill commitments made before imposing sanctions against Russia.

Bloomberg notes that exports of turbine engines, as well as other gas turbines, ranged between 1 million Swiss francs ($1.04 million) and 2.5 million francs per month between January and April 2022.

The agency asserts that the volume of Swiss exports to Russia in June (492 million francs) was 83% higher than in January. This happened due to the sale of pharmaceutical products, medicines and diagnostics.

Earlier, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute, it became known that the export of Turkish goods to Russia in June 2022 showed a sharp increase of 46% compared to June last year against the background of sanctions from European countries and a decline in the volume of their supplies to Russia.
