An Egyptian arrested for cutting off the Milan-Naples highway for several hours

Traffic on Italy’s main highway, which connects Milan and Naples, was suspended for several hours due to a 22-year-old Egyptian youth throwing stones and heavy objects at cars and pedestrians.

According to eyewitnesses, the man first cut the stop valve on a high-speed train on the way from Lodi to Milan. As soon as he got to the railroad, he started throwing stones at the train windows, then switched to the cars on the nearby A1 motorway. He threw stones and other heavy objects at the car.

As a result, people were injured, including the National Parliamentarian of the League party, Claudia Gobato, who was hit in the eye, and two men, aged 22 and 65. In addition, trains had to move with delays, and highway traffic was blocked for several hours.

Upon the arrival of the police, the attacker threatened to cut his neck. He was frozen with a stun gun, and taken away under guard in an ambulance.
