US deploys B-52 strategic bombers

Cairo: Hani Kamal El-Din -Four B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers have been deployed from Barksdale Air Force Base in the southern US to Fairchild Air Force Base on the Canadian border as part of the Rapid Combat Nuclear Deterrence exercise.

According to the Defense Code, during the exercise, American pilots will conduct maneuvers and work on a new BOCS launcher maintenance system, which includes two 2.2-ton containers with spare parts and equipment that allow the aircraft to be repaired in the field.

It is noteworthy that B-52s were withdrawn from Fairchild Air Force Base in 2010, and in 1994 one of these planes crashed there – and the video of the crash remains among the most watched aircraft accidents on the network.

The plane crashed while turning due to pilot error. Then all four crew members on board were killed.

It was reported earlier that the United States has deployed in Europe four B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

The transfer was carried out to fulfill the “long-planned mission of the operational bomber group”.
