British Foreign Secretary urges G7 to curb technology exports to China

Britain’s Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, at a meeting with members of the ruling Conservative Party in Belfast, Northern Ireland, said G7 countries should limit technology exports to China.

Truss noted that China is a country with an “authoritarian regime”, which raises London’s deep security concerns for the UK and the rest of the world.

“China is getting bolder,” Truss said. “We need to make sure we don’t export technology that could be used against us.”

Earlier it was reported that the majority of Conservative Party members will vote for the British Foreign Secretary during the election of a new party leader, who will become the new Prime Minister of the Kingdom.
