The price of gas in Europe during trading on the stock exchange rose more than 5% for the first time since the beginning of March and exceeded $2,700 due to reports that supplies through the Nord Stream gas pipeline were suspended for three days for repairs.

It should be noted that the cost of a futures contract at a virtual outlet in the Netherlands, with reference to the data of the London Stock Exchange ICE, amounted to 2712 dollars per 1,000 cubic metres.

At the same time the total increase in the cost of gas per day amounted to more than 8%.

Earlier it was reported that Gazprom will suspend the transportation of gas via the Nord Stream gas pipeline for three days. The only operating Trent 60 gas pump unit will be closed on August 31 for three days for preventive maintenance.

After the repair work is completed, gas transportation will return to the level of 33 million cubic meters. m per day.
