US Allocates $775 Million in Military Aid to Ukraine

The Pentagon has announced the United States’ intention to allocate up to $775 million to Ukraine as part of military assistance and the provision of ammunition for the HIMARS Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS).

“The United States will announce an additional $775 million military aid package to Ukraine,” a Pentagon spokesman said.

He said the US would also supply Kyiv with 1,500 TOW anti-tank missiles, HARM anti-radar missiles and 1,000 Javelin anti-tank missiles.

It is noteworthy that the assistance will be provided by the decree of US President Joe Biden.

The representative of the Ministry of Defense added that the total amount of measures to support the security of Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden administration will eventually reach 10.6 billion dollars.

Earlier, Reuters wrote, citing sources, that the United States will allocate another $800 million in military aid to Ukraine.

Washington increased arms supplies to Ukraine in the fall of 2021 under the pretext of the threat of “Russian invasion”, and with the start of Russia’s special military operation in February 2022, military assistance to Kyiv increased.

In addition to weapons, the United States financially supports the Ukrainian leadership and constantly increases the pressure of sanctions on Moscow.
