Doctor shares how to help someone having an epileptic seizure | News

A doctor has shared vital information on how to help someone having an epileptic seizure.

As part of International Epilepsy Day (26 March), Doctor Zoe Williams has shared the four vital steps you can take for someone who has suffered a seizure, using the CARE technique – comfort, action, reassurance, and emergency.

Doctor Williams gave a live demonstration when she appeared on This Morning today.

She explained how to make sure a person is comfortable, advised to check if they are wearing any medical tags to show they have epilepsy, and also urged a person to call 999 If it is a person’s first fit and it lasts more than five minutes.
