Australia is considering recognizing a Palestinian state

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wang said that Canberra would consider recognizing a Palestinian state, a shift in policy at a time when the international community is looking for a two-state solution to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In a speech she delivered on Tuesday, Wang expressed In support of the comments of British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, who said that recognition of a Palestinian state, including in the United Nations, would make the two-state solution irreversible.
