Bloomberg website quoted sources as saying that “the United States and its allies believe that an attack by Iran and its agents with missiles and drones on Israeli targets is imminent.”
The sources ruled out that the Iranian attack would target civilian facilities. She stressed that “it may not necessarily come from northern Israel.” An American official said, “The United States will contribute to the defense of Israel if it is attacked by Iran or its agents.” He added, “If Israel is attacked by missiles and drones, we may contribute to intercepting them.” He said, “We do not rule out launching joint retaliatory strikes with Israel if it is attacked by Iran or its agents.”
