A successful test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile was carried out from the Kapustin Yar test site, reported TASS agency. As the Russian Ministry of Defense stated, “the results confirm the high reliability of Russian missiles.” It is not possible to confirm this information from independent sources.
“On April 12, 2024, from the 4th State Central Interspecific Range Kapustin Yar in the Astrakhan Region, the combat crew of the Strategic Missile Forces successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile of a mobile ground-based missile system. <...> The results obtained confirm the high reliability of Russian missiles for ensuring strategic security of the Russian Federation. The launch objectives were completed in full,” the department said.
Reuters reported on Friday, with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense, about the successful testing of an intercontinental ballistic missile in Russia. The rocket was launched from the Kapustin Yar test site in the south of the Astrakhan region.
