The official spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, once again warned Western countries against confiscating Russian assets, pledging to respond in accordance with the principle of reciprocity in international relations.
Zakharova said – In statements published today, Friday, on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs – “In the event that Russian assets are confiscated by Western countries, we will be guided by the principle of reciprocity in international relations and take corresponding response measures.”
 
The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry added: Saying, “Russia has a large amount of Western money and property in Russian official bodies, which may be subject to our responses.”
