Jamal Murray sinks game-winning BUZZER BEATER as Nuggets erase 20-point second-half deficit against LeBron James’ Lakers to pull out 101-99 win and push series lead to 2-0

Jamal Murray sank a stunning buzzer beater on Monday night to give the Nuggets a 2-0 series lead over LeBron James’ Lakers.

With the score tied at 99, Murray sized up Anthony Davis and hit a step-back shot from the midrange as time expired to give Denver a two-point win.

The shot culminated a 20-point comeback for Denver, who trailed 68-48 with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter.

From there, the defending champions woke up, as the Lakers were held to just 40 second-half points and reigning MVP Nikola Jokic finished with 27 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists.

Murray finished the game with 20 points, with 14 coming in the final quarter.

“I told my teammates when I was struggling, ‘I’m gonna look for y’all. I’m gonna look for y’all,’ he said in an on-court interview with TNT immediately after the win.

‘And every single one of them told me to keep shooting, keep shooting. Be aggressive. Keep shooting. Even when I was throwing up that bulls*** floater.’

Murray’s winning shot came after LeBron James misfired from long range with 16 seconds left and the game tied at 99.

Michael Porter Jr. grabbed the rebound with 13 seconds left and the Nuggets didn’t call a timeout.

Murray´s fadeaway, falling-down game-winner provided the Nuggets with their first lead since 5-3 in the opening minutes and gave the reigning NBA champions their 10th consecutive win over the Lakers.

Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 32 points, James had 26 and D’Angelo Russell added 23 with a career playoff-high seven 3s.

As Murray mentioned after the game, it was a poor shooting night for the Nuggets, who converted just 23.5 percent of their 3s.

The Lakers, meanwhile, shot an impressive 43.3 percent from deep, led by Russell’s sharpshooting.

The series now heads back to LA for the next two games with Denver in control.
