Rising, Transformers One Directors at VIEW

The directors of “Inside Out 2,” “Ultraman: Rising” and “Transformers One” are confirmed to speak at the weeklong VIEW Conference 2024, taking place in Turin, Italy, from Oct. 14-19. The English-language conference, which draws top talent from the film, television, animation, VFX and gaming industries to the region for a week of talks, workshops and masterclasses, is celebrating its 25th year.

Attending the conference in person will be “Inside Out 2” director Kelsey Mann, “Ultraman: Rising” director Shannon Tindle and “Transformers One” director Josh Cooley. The movies are among the most anticipated animated films of the year.

Also attending the conference is animation supervisor Rob Coleman, who will worked with Cooley on “Transformers One,” and who will also lead a special presentation on the 25th anniversary of “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”

In addition to the animated films, the still-growing slate also includes speakers discussing VFX work in some of the biggest films and TV shows of the year, such as the sci-fi epic “Dune: Part Two,” Amazon Prime’s post-apocalyptic series “Fallout,” an adaptation of the hit videogame franchise, and Netflix’s mind-bending hit series “3 Body Problem.” “Dune” second unit VFX supervisor Patrick Heinen and Wylie Co. VFX founder-CEO Jake Maymudes will talk about their work on the sequel. Overall VFX supervisor Jay Worth will discuss “Fallout,” while overall VFX supervisor Stefen Fangmeier will share insights about “3 Body Problem.”

Other speakers include Industrial Light & Magic’s senior VP and chief creative officer Rob Bredow as well as Interdimensional VFX CEO Setareh Zargarpour and VFX supervisor Habib Zargarpour, who will discuss their anthology film series project “Tales From the Woods,” from Warner Bros.

“These first speaker announcements for VIEW Conference 2024 are nothing short of spectacular,” says conference director Maria Elena Gutierrez. “They are all true masters of their craft, and I know our international audience will relish the exciting opportunity to meet their heroes and learn from their wisdom and experience. As our list of confirmed speakers continues to expand, I know that our 25th anniversary edition will truly be a conference to remember.”
