An understanding between the Department of Health and Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence"core42" .

ABU DHABI, 13th May / WAM / The Department of Health Abu Dhabi signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence and Core42, a subsidiary of G42, during Abu Dhabi International Healthcare Week, with the aim of launching a global academy for artificial intelligence for healthcare in the emirate.
This partnership seeks to create a framework for cooperation and enhance the emirate’s position at the forefront of technology and data-based healthcare systems.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Dr. Rashid Obaid Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Health Workforce Sector at the Department of Health, Sultan Al Hajji, Vice President for Public Affairs and Alumni Relations at the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, and Talal Al Qaisi, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer and Global Partnerships at Core42.

This came in the presence of His Excellency Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health, and Kirill Eftimov, Director of Technology for the G42 Group and CEO of Core42.

The new Healthcare AI Academy will provide an advanced AI-trained workforce capable of developing diagnostic and operational efficiency, dramatically improving patient care and streamlining healthcare operations.

Under the MoU, multiple courses will be held specifically designed to advance artificial intelligence in healthcare, and group training courses will be organized for about 100 participants from healthcare workers in Abu Dhabi. Those selected from these sessions will have the opportunity to follow more specialized courses based on their specific field of work, which will cover… Vital topics such as artificial intelligence in radiology and cardiology and more advanced data analytics and prediction techniques.
Her Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi said that empowering our workforce with the latest artificial intelligence technologies is a vital element in achieving the achievements we aspire to in diagnosis and management of personalized medicine.
For his part, Sultan Al-Hajji said that healthcare represents a major research field at Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence because we realize the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and the potential it provides that may contribute to saving the lives of patients across a wide range of paths.
