Widdup hoping to ride winning form all the way home at Hawkesbury

Local trainer Brad Widdup will send up to four runners to Tuesday’s Hawkesbury meeting in an attempt to add to his recent winning list.

Widdup enjoyed city success at Warwick Farm last Wednesday with Ausbred Rising Sun and with Be Real at Newcastle on Thursday. He will start his day at Hawkesbury when Mosca Luna contests the Pink Finss Charity 4YO&Up Maiden Plate (1500m), with Jay Ford taking the ride.

“She’s only been placed in two of her 15 starts but she’s shown her share of ability,” Widdup said.

“She ran a good placing at Goulburn at her latest start and, if she can run up to that effort here, then she should figure in the finish again.”

Widdup combines with Zac Wadick when She’s All It runs in the Blakes Marine 3YO Maiden Handicap (1100m).

“She’s All It was placed in her first two starts last preparation at Bathurst and then at Hawkesbury,” Widdup said.

“She had a break after that and resumed with a good second at Goulburn, and she’s on the way up. This looks a nice race for her at Hawkesbury and I’d expect her to run well again.”

Party Doll will be Widdup’s runner in the Workers Club Group Provincial Class 1 Handicap (1100m) with Chad Schofield the jockey.

“She’s a mare with a handy record; with a win and four placings to her name from just the eight starts,” Widdup said.
