The Minister of Health inspects national projects in Cairo

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, today, Wednesday, inspected the Hermel Hospital development project (formerly Dar El Salam Oncology), as part of his field tour to inspect a number of national projects in the health sector and follow up on implementation rates on the ground. 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the new building consists of 9 floors on an area of ​​28,430 square meters, stressing that the goal of developing Hermel Hospital is to become an integrated center for cancer treatment and provide the latest diagnostic methods. And treatment for patients. 

"Abdul Ghaffar" pointed out The new building attached to Hermel Hospital has a capacity of 228 beds, 188 inpatient beds, 13 intensive care beds, 19 marrow transplant beds, 9 operating rooms, in addition to 200 chairs for chemotherapy. 

He continued. "Abdul Ghaffar" The new building consists of 60 examination rooms, in outpatient clinics, in addition to 6 rooms for examining tumor cases and developing a treatment plan, a radiology department containing MRI scans, CT scans, and mammograms, a laboratory department that includes chemical analyses, pathology analyses, blood culture analyses, and a bank. Blood, and housing for doctors. 

The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister of Health for National Projects Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Saafan, Head of the Therapeutic Medicine Sector, Dr. Maha Ibrahim, Head of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, and Dr. Reem Imad. Director of Hermel Hospital.
