Dr. Shoman receives the head of the organization’s branch in Indonesia
Dr. Abbas Shoman, President of the World Organization of Al-Azhar Graduates – Secretary General of the Senior Scholars Authority, received Dr. Muhammad Zain Al-Majd, President of the Organization’s Branch in Indonesia, Dr. Mukhlis Hanafi, Secretary General of the Organization’s Branch, and a number of members of the Organization’s Branch in Indonesia.
Dr. Shoman said that Al-Azhar is fine with its loyal sons and works to serve all of humanity, and it is our duty to support Al-Azharites everywhere, especially in Indonesia. His Eminence thanked those in charge of the branch for the effort made in serving Al-Azharites and graduates and spreading moderate thought, stressing that Al-Azhar relies heavily on them and their peers from other countries to be ambassadors of the moderate Al-Azhar approach in their countries, and to contribute strongly to promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence in the world. For his part, Dr. Muhammad Zain Al-Majd stressed that we in Indonesia seek to fulfill the trust that we have placed on our shoulders, based on the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, to spread moderation and balance, and we work hard to serve Al-Azharites in Indonesia through the branch and its offices spread across the various governorates, and in coordination with the main headquarters in Cairo.
