Madinah International Book Fair concludes its activities today
The Madinah International Book Fair concludes its activities today, Monday, amidst widespread praise from publishers participating in the Madinah Book Fair 2024, for the great turnout of visitors to the exhibition, to visit the pavilions of participating publishing houses, and purchase books in various types of knowledge, stressing their keenness to participate in the upcoming editions of the exhibition.
The third edition of the Madinah Book Fair includes 300 publishing houses distributed over 200 pavilions, displaying their latest publications in literature, science and knowledge, in addition to children’s and young adult literature books.
Participant Ahmed Sharif from an Egyptian publishing house said: The publishing house has participated in all editions of the Madinah Book Fair since its launch in 2022, and in each new edition of the exhibition we find better development and organization than the previous edition,” adding that the organization of the current edition and the development it has witnessed provides an incentive to participate in the upcoming sessions of the exhibition.
In turn, participant Khaled Mohammed from the Emirates confirmed that the Madinah Book Fair is an incentive for participation Coming to us, with support from what we have seen in terms of arrangement and preparation, and the remarkable turnout of visitors to buy books in various fields, indicating that we have seen in this version the passion of the people of Medina for reading and acquiring Arabic and English books at competitive prices.
For his part, Basil Muhammad, a participant from the Kingdom of Bahrain, explained that this is the first participation for the house in the Medina Book Fair in its third edition, and the participation came after its success in its two previous editions, which created the incentive to be among the participating houses this year.
For his part, Shukr Youssef Muhammad from one of the Saudi publishing houses expressed his thanks to the General Authority for Literature, Publishing and Translation – the organizing body of the Medina Fair – for the good organization and treatment that deserves to be praised, indicating that despite the large turnout of visitors to the exhibition on all its days, there is ease in moving between the wings of the participating houses.
It is worth noting that the Medina Fair 2024 was held on an area of 20 thousand square meters behind the King Salman International Convention and Exhibition Center, and witnessed an attendance of It attracted a wide audience during its stay, and the General Authority for Literature, Publishing and Translation was keen to organize this edition according to a renewed vision and a distinctive identity that keeps pace with the latest developments in the publishing industry, to form an extension of the success of the two previous editions, and to confirm the cultural importance of Medina and its position in the cultural scene of the Kingdom.
