Cairo Governor: Daily follow-up of cleaning companies operating in the capital

 Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber confirmed that there is continuous daily follow-up of the cleaning companies operating in the capital, and the efforts of the Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority to remove waste and garbage, and improve the level of cleanliness of the main and side streets and squares to achieve citizen satisfaction, noting that the cleanliness file is one of the most important files that the governorate attaches great importance to due to its great impact on the health of the citizen and the environment.

This came during the meeting held by the governor today, Tuesday, with officials of the cleaning companies to follow up on the companies’ efforts in cleaning and collecting from residential and commercial units, and how they deal with the waste generated daily, and review the plan for distributing workers in the streets, and the adequacy of the number of collection, cleaning and sweeping workers assigned to work in the side and main streets, as well as the number of cars and equipment for collecting and cleaning the streets.

 

The Cairo Governor added that the new cleaning system in the governorate is receiving the attention of the political leadership, and the follow-up of the Prime Minister, noting that the state has provided all facilities to make the new cleaning system a success with the aim of achieving citizen satisfaction, as the actual position of the companies’ performance was reviewed On the ground and the difficulties it faces and how to overcome them in order for citizens to obtain the best service.

 

During the meeting, the Governor of Cairo assigned the monitoring and inspection departments, and field follow-up to conduct periodic inspections of the condition of streets and roads and follow up on the extent of companies’ commitment to collecting waste and not allowing waste to accumulate in the streets, noting that a periodic evaluation of the performance of the operating companies will be conducted to determine their commitment and perform their work to the fullest.

 

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor for the Western Region, Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, the Deputy Governor for the Southern Region, Eng. Ashraf Mansour, the Deputy Governor for the Eastern Region, Eng. Mona El-Batrawy, the Secretary-General Yahya Al-Adgham, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Cleaning, Beautification and Lighting of Cairo, Ihab El-Shershaby, and officials of the Enviromaster companies responsible for the Eastern Region, and Erteqaa, responsible for cleaning the Western Region, and Nahdet Misr Company operating in the Southern Region.
