"Inquiries" and"National Alliance" They organize a public conference to empower women and youth in volunteer work in Suez
Dr. Ahmed Yahya, Head of the Media Sector at the State Information Service, stressed that the cooperation and coordination between the National Alliance and the State Information Service constitutes a positive indicator towards enhancing the participatory approach between the various institutions of the Egyptian state, which contributes to achieving effective synergy of efforts and limits double standards and overlapping tasks. This cooperation and coordination, which resulted in the launch of the largest community media campaigns, will serve as a national model for the participatory approach in the next stage during the implementation of upcoming joint activities.
This came during the public conference organized by the Internal Media Sector at the State Information Service and the National Alliance for Civil Development Action, at the Suez Media Complex under the title "The Role of Civil Society in Supporting and Empowering Women and Youth in the New Republic", within the activities of the Civil Action Campaign, the Third Side of Comprehensive Development in Suez Governorate, with the participation of government agencies, civil society organizations, businessmen and industrialists, and natural, youth, religious and women’s leaderships.
The Head of the Internal Media Sector added that the media campaign aims to support families The most needy and supporting the government in alleviating the burdens on citizens, and meeting their needs as much as possible, by mobilizing the energies of civil society and spreading the culture of volunteering and solidarity among the segments of Egyptian society for a decent life for every citizen.
For his part, Dr. Talat Abdel Qawi, Chairman of the General Union of Civil Associations and Institutions, said that work in the National Alliance for Civil Development Work began in March 2022 when 21 civil associations and institutions signed a cooperation protocol and charter with the General Union of Civil Associations and Institutions to support the most needy families, coordinate efforts and establish joint projects.. The alliance’s work continued until the first alliance conference in January 2023.
It was able to achieve many achievements targeting 30 million Egyptian citizens from the most needy families.. 25 million of them benefited from food aid, while 5 million benefited from health services.. and more than 40 thousand families benefited from projects, especially those with disabilities.. in addition to releasing a large number From the debtors.. the “Azra’” initiative that was able to plant 150 thousand acres of wheat with the support of 100 thousand small farmers.. and these projects are worth 12 billion pounds that were spent by these associations and institutions within 9 months.

The House of Representatives approved a draft law submitted by Representative Tariq Radwan and more than 60 members in accordance with Article 192 of the Constitution. Law No. 171 was issued and ratified by the President of the Republic on September 4, 2023. The most important thing stipulated in this law is that this entity has a legal personality and technical, financial and administrative independence that enjoys the patronage of the President of the Republic. Joining or withdrawing from it is optional. It consists of associations, institutions, unions, private and public legal entities, and its funding depends on the subscriptions of its members, donations, gifts, and what the state budget allocates. The alliance can have branches inside and outside Egypt. It is managed democratically, as it has an elected general assembly of 21 members, and the President of the Republic has the right to add 4 public figure members, so the number of members of the general assembly becomes 25 members."

Afaf Zahran, a member of the House of Representatives, spoke about the role played by the National Alliance for the Empowerment of Women in the new republic, as the alliance provided attention to Egyptian women and supported them in many ways, the most important of which is psychological support through the “Listen to You and Support You” campaign, financial support for women breadwinners, and educational seminars for women in order to form and maintain a family.
Dr. Walid Rashad spoke about the interest of the Civil Development Alliance in empowering youth through rehabilitation and training, developing their awareness of the values of volunteering, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, and financing youth projects.
