De Grey, Western Australia: Toddler dead and five adults injured in horror rollover crash on remote highway

A horrific single-car crash on a rural highway has left a toddler dead and five adult passengers with minor injuries.

Emergency services were alerted to a Holden Captiva crashing and rolling on an access road to the Great Northern Hwy in De Grey, East of Port Hedland in Western Australia, about 10.50pm on Wednesday.

A three-year-old girl was found critically injured and died at the scene.

Three men and two women also in the car suffered only minor injuries.

Major crash investigators have travelled to the scene as the circumstances surrounding the crash are examined.
