Minister of Defense discusses with his Somali counterpart regional and international developments and their implications for security and stability in Africa
Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Abdul Qader Mohamed Nour, Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Egypt, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense.
The meeting discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and their repercussions on security and stability within the African continent.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces affirmed his pride in the distinguished relations between the armed forces of Egypt and Somalia.
For his part, the Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Somalia expressed his appreciation for the depth of ties and relations between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting was attended by: Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of commanders of the armed forces of both countries.
