"Chambers of Commerce"Collecting food supplies via mail reduces costs and facilitates payment to bakeries
Khaled Fikry, spokesman for the Bakeries Division of the Chambers of Commerce, praised the decision to collect the Ministry of Supply’s dues through post offices spread across all governorates of the republic, stressing that it contributes to reducing costs and facilitating the payment process for bakery owners.
Fikry explained – during a phone call on (Sada El Balad) channel, today, Sunday – that the decision of the Minister of Supply, Dr. Sherif Farouk, to collect dues from bakeries provides multiple payment options, including the post office and banks.
He added, “The Ministry of Supply is working to facilitate the process of paying money to bakery owners,” explaining that the amounts collected from subsidized bread are paid based on the difference between the manufacturing cost and the price of the new loaf, noting that the collection was previously done at 5 piasters per loaf, and with the price raised to 20 piasters, the cost differences are deducted and the remaining amounts are paid in the bank.
