Head of the Central Administration for General Education at the Ministry of Education: We will not leave any child in the first grade of primary school who cannot read
Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, Head of the Central Administration for General Education at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, revealed many details regarding the ministerial decisions related to the primary and preparatory stages through the Mamas Group program on the Madrasatna Channel affiliated with the Ministry of Education and presented by the media figure Yasmine Nour El-Din.
Hala Abdel Salam said that the student attendance rate in the first and second grades of primary school is 60%, as we will not leave any child in the first grade of primary school who cannot read. She added that our children must be raised to respect the teacher and love school, stressing during her statements that the evaluation of the first and second grades of primary school will not be in the form of an exam, but the third grade of primary school will contain an exam.
Hala Abdel Salam said that she asks mothers not to do their son’s homework so that he learns properly, stressing that no one sits at his desk in the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the decisions will be followed up and implemented with the utmost decisiveness to control the educational process and protect the students.
She confirmed during her statements on the Mamas Group program that there will be reinforcement groups At school in a way that satisfies teachers and parents, and coordination will be made between the two-shift educational administrations to prevent any expected problems.
Hala Abdel Salam confirmed that the goal of the ministry’s decisions is for students to return to school, saying: “ The school is not a place to receive knowledge, but rather an institution for building character,” and she revealed that there are some students who have begun to seek the help of other entities as an alternative to the school, and these entities are not safe.
Hala Abdel Salam said: We will not pressure students with our decisions, but it is difficult for a student to reach the first year of middle school if he cannot read or write. Regarding the grades of the year’s work, she said: “The teacher is not an enemy to the student, and the year’s work is not according to the mood, so there is no worry.”
Regarding teacher training, Hala Abdel Salam said: We have a plan to train psychologists in schools, and the ministry’s main goal is to build the character of the Egyptian person, so teachers and parents are in the same boat.”
Hala Abdel Salam confirmed during her statements that teachers will be trained on the new curricula in the coming period, and regarding what was circulated regarding the cancellation of the second language subject, she confirmed that it has not been cancelled, but has only become outside the total.
Hala Abdel Salam said during her statements on the “Group of Moms” program: We have obligated schools to have programs Therapeutic for weak reading and writing levels inside the school, and regarding the mechanism of dealing between the school and parents, she said that every school must announce the dates for receiving parents in order to communicate with teachers.
