Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, said that the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade is keen to provide various possible forms of support and contribute to alleviating the burden on Egyptian families, through establishing and spreading permanent and specialized commodity exhibitions.
This came during Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, visit to the Cairo Chamber of Commerce and holding a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Cairo Chamber and members of the Chamber from various commercial divisions and exhibitors, at the main “Welcome Schools” exhibition in the hall of the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency in Nasr City, scheduled to launch at the end of this week.
The ministry is preparing to announce the launch of the “Welcome Schools” exhibitions, whether the “main” exhibition In Cairo Governorate and sub-exhibitions in the governorates, to offer all school supplies and tools at different learning stages at reduced prices compared to prices lower than their counterparts in the markets, with the participation of major companies in the private and public sectors.
It was decided to establish a main exhibition in each governorate, in addition to the sub-exhibitions in the cities and centers at the level of the governorates of the Republic, in coordination with the governors, in addition to the main exhibition scheduled to be held in the hall of the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency, which is what we are talking about today, which is held under the kind patronage of the Prime Minister.
The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and its affiliated entities participate in the exhibitions in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development, the Chambers of Commerce and their General Union and their specialized branches.
The date for the launch of the main exhibition was set during the period from September 5 to 20, according to the directives of the Prime Minister. The locations and headquarters of these exhibitions continue to provide services and discounted goods to the public to become permanent exhibitions throughout the year at the level of the governorates, provided that the goods change according to the season and occasion in cooperation between the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, the Ministry of Local Development and the gentlemen The governors.
The main exhibition includes a set of basic services provided at the exhibition:
1. Providing all school supplies and tools (clothes – shoes – school bags – school uniforms – notebooks and notebooks – pens – and all necessary tools at reduced prices.. etc.).
2. Providing basic food commodities inside the exhibition at reduced prices.
3. Providing electronic tools.
There is also a set of new services provided this year at the exhibition:
1. Participation of the National Postal Authority and providing its services.
2. Participation of some mobile companies
3. Participation of financial solutions companies
4. Allocating a large pavilion for all companies affiliated to the Holding Company for Food Industries.
All relevant authorities in the Ministry of Supply and its affiliated entities were directed to work on immediate follow-up and continuous and permanent coordination with all concerned parties to ensure the success and regularity of all exhibitions at the level of all governorates of the Republic, and to work to overcome any obstacles throughout the exhibition period, and to provide all possible services to exhibition visitors.
For his part, Mr. Ayman Al-Ashry, Head of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, thanked the leaders of the Egyptian state, headed by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for their support in holding Ahlan Madaris exhibitions to ease the burden on our families with the start of the new school year.
Al-Ashry also directed Thanks to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, under whose patronage the Ahla Madaris exhibitions are held. He also extended special thanks to Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and his accompanying delegation for their keenness to visit the Cairo Chamber and hold a meeting with the Chamber’s members and exhibitors a few days before the exhibition’s launch.
The head of the Cairo Chamber said that the Ahla Madaris exhibition is an event of special societal importance, and through it we seek to provide an important societal role that merchants are keen to provide goods with special prices and high quality in one place, as the exhibition achieves its primary goal, which is to ease the burden on our families and provide all the requirements for the new school year.
“Al-Ashry” confirmed Cooperation with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has many axes, including the joint organization of the Ahlan Madaris Exhibition and other seasonal exhibitions, as well as the ongoing cooperation to provide goods to control prices and stabilize the market, noting that the coming period will witness more cooperation in order to provide community and economic services that achieve the goal of the state’s development plans that require more cooperation and integration of roles.
"Al-Ashry" noted that the concept of true sustainable development comes from the solidarity of all government agencies and the private sector to achieve the goals of our country, and that the visit of the Minister of Supply to the Cairo Chamber is a good starting point, as the matter requires more effort and cooperation in order to reduce prices and control the market, which is what we seek to achieve in the next stage.
