Head of the Senate Health: The President’s directives to expand the establishment of mental health hospitals reflect his concern for citizens

MP Dr. Ali Mahran, Head of the Health and Population Committee in the Senate, praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to expand the establishment of mental health facilities and support the treatment system at the state’s expense, stressing that these directives reflect his concern for citizens.

 

Mahran said in a statement today that these directives come at a time when Egypt needs to develop health and psychological services to confront the growing challenges in society.

 

He explained that President Sisi’s directives to begin implementing the project to establish the “Sakina” Hospital for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment in the New Alamein City is an important step towards providing a safe and integrated environment for treating and caring for mentally ill patients and combating addiction, which enhances the state’s ability to deal with complex health issues.

 

The head of the Senate Health Department confirmed that President Sisi’s directives reflect the state’s interest in citizens’ health and its desire to provide all health and medical services with the highest quality standards.

 

He stressed the importance of cooperation between all concerned parties to achieve Egypt’s vision of building an integrated and comprehensive health system that serves all segments of society and guarantees the right to health care for all.

 

"Mahran" pointed out that human capital is Egypt’s real wealth, which must be developed and invested in, stressing the need to enhance coordination and integration efforts between all state agencies in the various regions of the republic, to achieve the initiative’s goals, so that citizens can see its positive returns as soon as possible."
