Sherif Fathy inaugurates the 44th International Exhibition for Hotel Equipment and Tourist Facilities
• The Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion participates with a pavilion equipped with promotional materials and films for Egyptian tourist destinations

Today, Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, inaugurated the 44th International Exhibition for Hotel Equipment and Tourist Facilities HACE – Hotel Expo 2024. He was accompanied during the opening by Yamna Al-Bahar, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
This exhibition will be held from September 2 to 4 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority.
The attendees included Catherine Norgen, Ambassador of Malawi to Cairo, Yasser El-Tajouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Tourism Establishments and Restaurants, and Yasser Hegazy, General Manager of the organizing company.
During the opening, the Minister toured the exhibition, inspecting its various pavilions, where he met with a group of exhibitors, and listened to a detailed explanation of what they offer in terms of equipment and supplies for hotel and tourist establishments, in addition to learning about the competitions offered by the exhibition this year, appreciating such distinguished initiatives and competitions that contribute to shedding light on the various and distinguished Egyptian industries and businesses and highlighting the skills of the Egyptian workforce.
During the tour, he also listened to their proposals for developing the tourism industry in Egypt, and their opinions on the exhibition this year The size of their participation in it, stressing that the exhibition has witnessed a remarkable development and improvement this year.
During the tour, the Minister was keen to talk to a group of children with disabilities participating in some of the culinary arts activities in the exhibition and encourage them in their activities, expressing the Ministry’s readiness to provide all means of support to them.
During the opening, he praised the importance of this exhibition and the extent of the development it witnesses year after year, especially in light of the Egyptian industries it presents, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to continue providing all aspects of support to organize this exhibition and that the upcoming sessions will witness more cooperation, especially through organizing various seminars and workshops in various fields such as management and others.
The Ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, is participating in this exhibition with a pavilion, which has been equipped with promotional materials about Egyptian tourist destinations and promotional films launched by the Ministry to promote the Egyptian tourist destination, in addition to souvenirs to be presented to the exhibition’s guests.
This exhibition is one of the largest exhibitions in Africa and the Middle East, as it is one of the largest international exhibitions specialized in supplies and equipment for the hotel and tourist facilities sectors and products The requirements of large and emerging companies in the hospitality sectors, and the exhibition is divided into six sections that serve these different sectors of the exhibition and display the developments of this industry in Egypt.
The exhibition area has been increased this year to become 20 thousand square meters, in order to accommodate a larger number of exhibitors and visitors, whether Egyptians or from foreign or Arab countries.
More than 250 Egyptian and foreign companies will meet during the exhibition, and it includes the largest live cooking competitions in cooperation with the Egyptian Chefs Association, as the closing ceremony is scheduled to witness the distribution of awards to the winning chefs in this competition.
The African Cup of Culinary Arts competition will also be hosted, and the exhibition will include some seminars held at HACE FOOD HUB, and the Barista Clash competition.
