The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, is the first day of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal for the year 1446 AH, corresponding to September 4, 2024, and after announcing the result of the sighting, the date of the Prophet’s birthday will be set for Sunday, Rabi’ al-Awwal 12, corresponding to September 15.
The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa had surveyed the crescent moon of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal for the year one thousand four hundred and forty-six AH after sunset on Tuesday, the twenty-ninth of Safar for the year one thousand four hundred and forty-six AH, corresponding to September 3, 2024 AD, through the legal and scientific committees spread throughout the republic.
It has been legally verified from the results of this correct legal visual sighting that the crescent moon of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal for the year one thousand four hundred and forty-six Hijri.
Accordingly, the Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa announced that Wednesday, September 4, 2024 AD, is the first day of Rabi’ al-Awwal, 1446 AH.
