Kansas City Chiefs are hailed for ‘classy move’ with contract of star sidelined by severe PTSD and mental health issues
The Kansas City Chiefs were hailed by one of their stars and fans for a ‘classy’ move after placing a player on the non-football injury list on Monday,
Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was placed on the NFI list to deal with severe PTSD and mental health issues. While the LSU product would miss four games at the beginning of the season, the Chiefs decided to keep him on the payroll as he deals with mental hardships.
The organization’s kind gesture caught the eye of one teammate, standout defensive end Chris Jones, who took to social media to praise the Chiefs.
‘Classy move….’ Jones wrote on X as other fans flooded the comments with
‘Chiefs are always ahead of the game when it comes to how they treat their players,’ one user added.
