WWE superstar Kairi Sane suffers gruesome eye injury after smacking her face onto announcer’s table from top rope during Monday Night Raw
WWE superstar Kairi Sane suffered a gruesome eye injury while jumping from the top rope to the announcer’s table during a match on Monday Night Raw.
During a tag team match with Damage CTRL partner Iyo Sky against The Unholy Union of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, the WWE women’s tag team champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, were at ringside.
Dawn got into an altercation in front of the announcer’s table with Belair and Cargill, who recently won the titles from her and Fyre.
Sane wanted to launch herself into the trio standing outside the ring. Fyre got out of the way with Sane jumping high onto Belair, who could not stop her from landing behind her.
Right behind Belair was the announcer’s table, with Sane cracking her head on the edge of it and legitimately making her bleed around her eye.
Kairi Sane has been known for her high-flying ability in the WWE since her debut in 2016
Sane’s high-risk dive outside the ring on Monday left her with a massive cut and a bloody eye
Sane finished the match, staying on the outside after an ambush at the hands of Cargill.
Dawn and Fyre ended up winning the match with Sane on the outside.
Sane posted an update to her social media of the cut and blood around her eye that had dribbled down and around her face.
Sane is known for her high-flying ability, with her top-rope elbow drop finisher wowing fans since her introduction in the company in 2016.
Sane looks to be fine after being checked out by WWE’s medical team and is not expected to be out of action.
However, she did have to get a few stitches backstage to stop the bleeding.
