The Expatriates Education Development Center begins the implementation steps for the “Literary Language Skills Development Programs and Their Applications” project
Yesterday, the Center for the Development of Education for Foreign and International Students, in the presence of His Eminence Professor Dr. Salama Dawoud, President of Al-Azhar University, began the executive steps for the project “Programs for the Development of Literary Language Skills and Their Applications.”
Professor Dr. Nahla Al-Saidi, Advisor to the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Head of the Center for the Development of Education for Foreign and International Students, said that the project “Programs for the Development of Literary Language Skills and Their Applications” The project was established and formulated by His Eminence Professor Dr. Mahmoud Tawfiq Saad, a member of the Senior Scholars Authority, and received the approval and blessing of His Eminence the Grand Imam Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and was adopted by the Center for the Development of Education for Foreign Students.
She added that the project stems from the message of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, which is the major Islamic scientific body concerned with reviving Arab civilization and the scientific and intellectual heritage of the Arab nation, and works to advance literature, advance sciences and arts, serve society and national goals, and provide the Islamic world and the Arab nation with specialists and opinion makers in relation to Islamic law, religious and Arabic culture, and the language of the Qur’an.
The advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar continued that the language skills development programs seek to achieve the goals formulated by His Eminence Professor Dr. Mahmoud Tawfiq Saad, including: achieving the message of Al-Azhar; a mosque and a university in serving, developing and advancing society, and developing a sincere national sense (Islamic and Arab), through developing awareness of the Arabic language; Understanding and making others understand, and developing rational awareness of the strength and precision of the Arabic language in expressing meanings; its subtleties and subtleties, which achieves the desire to preserve its eloquence at the oral and written levels, and developing sincere pride in the Arabic language, which derives its honor, distinction and immunity from being the language of the final revelation; the Quran and Sunnah, and forming competencies capable of using the Arabic language in a way that achieves communication between the segments of society in its diverse cultural classes, and achieving the ability to understand and make others understand in order to achieve safe and effective communication between people, which serves the effectiveness of sound dialogue between them in their diverse cognitive levels… and other goals.
Dr. Nahla Al-Saidi said that the executive steps of the project began with a meeting of the committee for developing the methodological description and course vocabulary, which includes an elite group of scholars from Al-Azhar University and its specialized professors, and a group of people with experience and competence in the specializations that the project is concerned with, noting that the detailed conditions and controls for joining the language skills development programs and their applications will be announced soon.
