Celebrating the birth of the Prophet is a celebration of prophecy, revelation, and the connection between the earth and the heavens.

Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, Professor of Doctrine and General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhar Corridor at Al-Azhar Mosque, confirmed that celebrating the Prophet Muhammad, the Master of Creation, is a celebration of the mercy bestowed (And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds), and God Almighty has commanded us to celebrate him. And we pray for him, God Almighty said (Indeed, God and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation), adding that the Prophet Muhammad was sent as a mercy to the worlds, indicating that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is a celebration of prophecy and revelation and the connection of the earth to the heavens and purity and clarity.

The General Supervisor of the Corridors at Al-Azhar Mosque criticized the groups that celebrate the Prophet’s birthday in a way that contradicts the Book of God and his Sunnah, noting that the Prophet explained how to celebrate it by obeying God, giving to the poor and needy, and reminding people of good words, fasting, praying, doing good deeds, mending broken hearts, and smiling at others and making it charity, citing the Almighty’s saying: “Have you not seen how God presents an example: a good word is like a good tree, whose root is firm and its branches are in the sky?” And the Prophet’s saying (Your smile in the face of your brother is charity).

Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad explains that  The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, had diplomatic acumen in dealing with others, noting that all of humanity needs to apply the prophetic approach in establishing international relations, good neighborliness, and peaceful coexistence, stressing that the Prophet’s message proved that this diplomatic work works to consolidate relations based on the universality of the Islamic message to spread the religion to all people. The Islamic discourse is directed to all people, even if they differ in belief, and is not limited to Muslims only. God Almighty says: “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another.” The General Supervisor points out: The scientific activities of Al-Azhar Corridor indicate that his message is a reminder, honor, and admonition for the worlds. His Lord purified him and raised his mention, so he was the light and the radiance. God Almighty said: “O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner and an inviter to God, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.” Our Master Muhammad – may God bless him and grant him peace – is a unique humane man. He – may God bless him and grant him peace – ascended to the highest ranks of morality and knowledge because he was raised by the Lord of the Worlds; to be the illuminating lamp, the highest example, and the greatest role model for all of humanity. His Lord disciplined him and disciplined him well, so he was a vibrant, living, moving Quran. When Aisha was asked about his morals, she answered: His morals were the Quran.
