During the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar highlights the Prophet’s qualities, most notably mercy
May God bless him and grant him peaceIt has varied in number, status, high degree, and perfect status, until he was described as the perfect human being – for one of these attributes of his has been mentioned alone in the Holy Qur’an, which is: the attribute of “mercy” with which he was described."AR-EG"May God bless him and grant him peaceIn His Almighty’s statement at the end of Surat At-Tawbah, in the context of the divine gratitude to the believers, where He sent among them a Messenger from among them, He described him as keen on their guidance, and that he was “kind and merciful” to them.. Then the attribute of “mercy” was mentioned a second time in His Almighty’s statement at the end of Surat Al-Anbiya’: “And We have not sent you,[O Muhammad]except as a mercy to the worlds.” [الأنبياء: 107]It came in a restrictive style that indicates that this Messenger united in his essence and actions with the characteristic of “mercy” until it became a deep-rooted characteristic that was firmly rooted in his feelings, penetrated his depths, and controlled his actions."RTL">
And he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, confirmed this description by saying in his noble Sunnah: “I am only a mercy sent down,” and he applied it in all his dealings with people and with all beings and creatures, and in every one of his dealings he drew from the wellspring of this “mercy” with which God created him and softened his heart.
It is worth noting that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, witnessed today, Monday, the Ministry of Endowments’ celebration of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, in the presence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Hanafi Gebali, and the senators, Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, and the Minister of Endowments, Osama Al-Azhari, and a number of ministers and state officials.
