Horror road rage attack rocks Melbourne as driver fires a gun before he is tackled to the ground by bystanders
Brave bystanders managed to hold a man down after he allegedly fired a shot in a road rage incident in Melbourne’s northeast, police have said.
It’s believed two cars crashed in Doncaster near the intersection of Williamsons and Manningham roads about 11am on Monday.
The 32-year-old driver of one of the cars then got out and allegedly fired a gun.
Members of the public intervened and managed to hold the man down until police arrived.
The 32-year-old suffered minor injuries and was arrested.
He remains in police custody as of Monday afternoon, and police managed to seize a firearm at the scene.
No one else was injured in the alleged incident, with the driver of the other car set to be interviewed by police.
The investigation remains ongoing, as police urge anyone with information to come forward.
