Many citizens are looking for it with the approaching end of summer and the approaching return to work on winter time, as during winter time the clock is delayed by 60 minutes, according to Law No. 24 of 2023 regarding the report of the summer time system.
According to the recently issued law regarding the approval of the summer time system, the legal time in Egypt is the hour according to the time followed, advanced by sixty minutes, starting from the last Friday of April, until the end of the last Thursday of October, of each Gregorian year.
The government implemented the work on summer time, in an attempt to rationalize the consumption of various energy sources, such as electricity, gasoline, diesel and gas.
The approval of the work on summer time in Egypt came in April 2023, after 7 years of its cancellation, and it was applied during the last Friday of April of last year 2023, and the summer time mechanism is based on advancing the clock by 60 minutes according to the data of the Council of Ministers.
Delaying or Advancing the clock, in winter time, and the House of Representatives had finally approved the draft law to report the summer time system, which aims to return to the summer time system, by advancing the clock by sixty minutes starting from the last Friday of April until the last Thursday of October, to rationalize energy and save on its operation in light of the economic conditions and changes that the world is witnessing.
