Minister of Endowments holds a meeting with Al-Shammarli Foundation for Printing the Holy Qur’an

Contract Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, held an extensive meeting with the Al-Shammarli Foundation, in the presence of accountant Ahmed Fawzy Al-Shammarli and the Al-Shammarli family, and Dr. Hassan Khalil, Assistant Secretary-General for Islamic Culture at the Islamic Research Complex, Director-General of Publications and Supervisor of the Issuance of Al-Azhar Magazine.

 

 

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, expressed his great happiness and honor to discuss the second edition of the Book of God (Glory be to Him) entitled the Mushaf of Egypt, which is the Mushaf that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic (may God protect him), directed to be printed at the opening of the Grand Mosque of Egypt and its Islamic Cultural Center in the New Administrative Capital, where the Mushaf of Egypt was printed on the Al-Shammarli version, with the verses sealed in the Ottoman script, narrated by Hafs from Asim, in the handwriting of Muhammad Saad Ibrahim, known as Haddad.

 

The Minister of Endowments confirmed that the Ministry will not He spared no effort in supporting the second edition of the Egyptian Mushaf so that it would come out in a new form, stressing that it is in the service of the Shammarli Mushaf, and he realizes the extent of the Shammarli Foundation’s keenness to produce the Book of Allah (Glory be to Him) in the best possible way.

 

 

The Minister of Endowments added: In fact, Shammarli has engraved himself in the history of Egypt and in the history of the Holy Quran, and he made a distinguished effort that will be remembered until the Day of Judgment, and we as generations were raised on Shammarli, generation after generation.

 

Accountant Ahmed Fawzy Shammarli confirmed that, thanks to God Almighty, the first edition was completed well, and the Armed Forces Engineering Authority provided all possible assistance.

 

He added: We are in the process of issuing a new edition of the Egyptian Mushaf and introducing improvements to this new edition of the Egyptian Mushaf, and we are now submitting it for review again. In preparation for the second edition.

 

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Endowments was presented with a copy of the Holy Qur’an, and he directed cooperation with the Al-Shammarli Foundation to provide a special edition for the Endowments and to revive this edition.

 

 

Al-Shammarli is a name with a long history in writing and printing the Holy Qur’an, not only in Egypt, but in the Arab and Islamic worlds, even in Mecca and Medina, where the Al-Shammarli Qur’an was distributed to scholars, pilgrims and students of knowledge there before the establishment of the Al-Haramain Press to print the Holy Qur’an.

 

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah Hassan, Assistant Minister of Endowments for Follow-up, and journalist Mahmoud Al-Jallad, Assistant Minister of Endowments for Media.
