Jens Lehmann hit with jaw-dropping fine for property damage and attempted fraud in German court – just days after the former Arsenal goalkeeper was ‘arrested for drink driving after Oktoberfest celebrations’

Jens Lehmann has been fined £112,500 after being found guilty of property damage and attempted fraud by a German court, according to a report.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper was accused of using a chainsaw to saw through the roof beams of a newly-built garage on his neighbour’s property in the summer of 2022.

The verdict comes after Lehmann appealed the initial ruling that saw him handed a suspended prison sentence and a fine of more than £350,000.

Criminal charges were dropped after Lehmann reached an out-of-court settlement with his neighbour said to be in excess of £50,000.

He was also on trial for dodging parking fines which are said to have since been paid.
