The German company TKMS competes with the French Naval Group to supply submarines to Morocco
Arab Defense Website October 2, 2024: Reported opportunity Le Desk said that France and Germany are competing fiercely to supply the Royal Moroccan Navy with its first war submarines, which they intend to obtain in the short term.
The website stated that the German company “Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems” (TKMS) is the closest so far to winning the deal, as it faces the French “Naval Group”.
Morocco seeks to enhance its naval capabilities through the acquisition of modern submarines. It was reported earlier that Morocco may be interested in purchasing French Barracuda submarines after Australia terminated its contract with France to acquire these submarines.
