Jets head coach Robert Saleh provides major injury update on Aaron Rodgers after London loss

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh provided an injury update to franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers following an injury.

Rodgers struggled throughout the Jets’ game against the Minnesota Vikings in London – leading to a 23-17 loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Saleh, who generated controversy by wearing a Lebanon flag on his arm as Israel bombarded the country, spoke to the media on Monday, revealing that Rodgers is currently suffering from a low ankle sprain.

But Saleh was quick to douse any flames, telling the media, ‘All the preliminary stuff says he’ll be fine.’

Rodgers’ carried the bulk of offensive plays for the Jets, but wasn’t efficient in the loss that moves them to 2-3 on the season.

He completed 29-of-54 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns, and a staggering three interceptions.

Rodgers was also sacked three times for a combined loss of 26 yards.

The Jets have now dropped two straight games by one-score following last week’s 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos in sloppy conditions at home.

While the adjustment to playing five hours ahead may take some time to get used to now that the Jets are back in New York, they’ll have the benefit of an extended break.

The Jets will be playing the divisional rival Buffalo Bills at home on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
