The Presidential Initiative for Early Detection of Kidney Disease is one of the most important initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Health in recent years, and the initiative is structured within the framework of 4 basic pillars, which are:
1- The initiative operates through 3,601 primary care units nationwide, and aims to early diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, and to provide high-quality health services to all citizens in the age group over 40 years, in addition to The category of young people over the age of 18 who have a medical history related to chronic diseases.
2- The initiative provides tests to measure blood pressure, blood sugar levels (random and cumulative), blood lipids, kidney tests, and body mass index, in addition to awareness services on risk factors for chronic diseases, and follow-up of beneficiaries during successive visits whose dates are determined based on the results of the initial examinations.
3- Medical cases that are discovered to have chronic diseases. "Pressure and sugar" She is given free treatment from health units, or she is referred to hospitals to receive the necessary treatment according to her health condition, which contributes to reducing the incidence of chronic kidney disease. This is in accordance with the guidelines for chronic diseases, which were prepared in cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
