Lebanese media reported that the northern part of the grain silos in Beirut port collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The authorities had previously warned that the building was in danger of collapsing, and there were no reports of injuries. This comes about two years after the Beirut port explosion, which killed about 220 people.

Recently, the silos have been on fire for weeks. This was caused by the summer heat in the rotting and fermented grains, officials said.

Part of the building collapsed on July 31 and another part fell on August 4, the second anniversary of the explosion.

And the Ministry of Health said, on Sunday, that dust samples from various parts of the port showed that the air contained large amounts of fungi, which is not dangerous unless it is inhaled in large quantities over a long period of time.
