US Senator Bob Menendez tweets a message of happiness to the US after losing Holland

US Senator Bob Menendez tweets message of happiness to Gregg Berhalter’s team AFTER they lost World Cup last 16 match against Netherlands – with fans saying the social media manager got morning and night mixed up!
US Senator Bob Menendez’s Twitter account was very late for the US’s last-16 World Cup clash with Holland Saturday, as a lucky message was sent more than 11 hours after kickoff.
Gregg Berhalter’s team was beaten 3-1 by the Netherlands in the knockout stages of the Qatar Tournament, with the game kicking off at 10am EST.
Goals from Memphis Depay, Daley Blind and Denzel Dumfries sent America home broken American hearts by midday.
But the result didn’t seem to get through to those running Menendez’s Twitter profile, as a message in support of the USMNT was sent out at 9:15 p.m. Saturday night.
The upload read: “Congratulations again to @USMNT in today’s FIFA World Cup match against the Netherlands. Let’s keep the momentum going.’

The Tweet was deleted, but former US international Taylor Twellman quickly picked up on the mistake and shared it with his 385,000 followers.
Other social media users pointed out that the error was due to scheduling tweets and that those responsible for the account confused their timing.

While another said, “If scheduling tweets goes wrong, lol.”
President Biden was on the case and was quick to tell the national soccer team “you made us proud” after being knocked out of the showpiece tournament.
Speaking to Twitter shortly after the final whistle blew in the game, Biden said, “Men, you have made us proud. We get up and move on. Here’s to a bright future and 2026 here at home.’
The US lost 1-0 after just 10 minutes and the Orange got a very important second goal just before the break.
Haji Wright retired for Berhalter’s men, but hopes of a comeback lasted just five minutes.
