Video has surfaced of US striker Ricardo Pepi wearing a HOLLAND shirt after the World Cup result

If you can’t beat them… join them? Video emerges of US striker Ricardo Pepi jokingly pole dancing in a HOLLAND shirt after they knocked the US out at the World Cup – with the striker omitted from Gregg Berhalter’s squad for Qatar
Ricardo Pepi appeared to be the victim of losing a bet over the weekend after the United States were beaten 3-1 by the Netherlands at the World Cup.
The 19-year-old Pepi was a surprise omission from the USA selection for the tournament by coach Gregg Berhalter and plays his club football in the Netherlands at Groningen.
And it seems that Pepi had a bet on who would win the World Cup knockout match and as the loser he had a forfeit.

Images that have surfaced on social media show the striker putting on a Holland shirt while people are cheering in the background and shouting ‘Pepi!’ call.
After putting on the Holland shirt, Pepi, appearing to be in a club, climbs onto a stage and pole dances wearing his Holland shirt, much to the amusement of the people filming him.
Groningen now only plays on January 8 due to the World Cup forced interruption of the European football calendar.
For Pepi, he has had good form for his club team, even though he was left out of the World Cup.
Pepi scored six goals in nine appearances for Groningen after joining the Dutch team from Germany’s Augsburg on loan.
It meant it came as a surprise that he didn’t make the US team, especially considering Berhalter’s team doesn’t have a good striker option.

“Disappointing because I felt I was giving myself the best chances to be in the World Cup squad,” Pepi said in November after the team came out.
“I felt like I had a chance, but at the same time I didn’t disappoint because, like I said, I did my thing, I went out, I played a lot of minutes, I scored my goals. I am really happy with that situation.
“Ultimately, it’s a coach’s decision over which I have no control. I feel like he once told me I wanted to turn the page as soon as possible and just focus on the game right now. I can’t keep thinking about why I didn’t make it or why I did.’
Pepi has 12 caps for the US and scored three goals.
