Violent NHL hockey brawl in Arizona resulted in a man being bitten off with the tip of his finger

A male supporter had the tip of his finger bit off in a violent brawl in the stands at a hockey game on Friday, police have revealed.

A huge spectator fight broke out at Arizona’s Mullett Arena last week during the Coyotes’ 4-3 victory over the Boston Bruins, and footage of the shocking incident later surfaced online.

In the fight, fans are tumbling over chairs and police have now confirmed that one man even lost the tip of his finger when it was bitten off by a fellow spectator.

In a statement shared by Fox10, Arizona State University police revealed, “The person arrested for aggravated assault completely bit off the tip of another person’s finger during the brawl.

“For clarification, the assault victim was involved in the brawl. Also, none of the people involved have any ties with the university.’

In clips posted online, several fans engaged in a shoving fight before swings and brutal punches were exchanged.

Some ended up falling over the seats as a man slammed a woman to the floor.

The force of the shot knocked her down a few rows, but she rose again shortly afterwards.

Police officers were on the scene and tried to break up the violent fight in the stands

A police officer can be seen watching the fight before other officers rush to intervene. An officer then tried to break the scrap, but he too was sent against the railing.

The altercation seemed to stop when more officers arrived on the scene.

Incredibly, a video posted to social media later appeared to show the bitten finger being passed through the crowd, while a separate photo showed a man walking around with a heavily bandaged finger.

In the game itself, the Coyotes ended a 19-game losing streak against the Bruins after Lawson Crouse scored the game-winning goal in the third period.
