The day before he died, Jansen shared a photo of his new artwork and the muse who inspired it, Catherine Michie.
Catherine wrote a heartbreaking tribute to the star on Instagram on Monday, sharing a collection of photos with the late star saying: “I only met you a year ago but you have been my best friend and my biggest fan I will never forget the first time I saw your face and the first things you said to me.
“Words cannot express the pain of knowing that I won’t hear your laughter anymore. I hope you find peace, and I’m sorry that I wasn’t there when you needed me most.
“The world is better because you were there. I know we will paint together again one day. I will always be your candy.
“Someone wakes me up and tells me it’s a dream.”
