Device head "Capital Gardens" He briefs a delegation from various participating countries "Urban Forum" On housing projects

Engineer Ammar Mandour, head of the Capital Parks City Authority, and the agency’s officials received, today, Wednesday, a delegation that included a number of participants from various countries in the “World Urban Forum.” In its twelfth session.

In order to learn about the housing projects being implemented in the city, and to learn about an aspect of the Egyptian urban experience during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which aims to provide adequate housing for citizens from different segments, especially low- and middle-income people. income, in implementation of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities, to provide the necessary facilities to the forum’s guests.

During the tour, the projects being implemented in the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” were learned about. For low- and middle-income citizens, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, since 2014. The tour also included an inspection of environmentally friendly housing units within the “Green Architecture” initiative.

For their part, the members of the international delegation praised the achievements they saw in the Egyptian urban experience in its various fields, expressing their country’s aspiration to strengthen and deepen cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt, and their aspiration to benefit from the Egyptian experience and the capabilities of Egyptian contracting companies.

For his part, Engineer Ammar Mandour explained that the aim of the visit is to exchange experiences and enhance cooperation in the fields of housing with the various countries participating in the forum, noting that 100,000 housing units have been implemented and are being implemented in the city of Hadayek Al Asimah within the presidential initiative. “Housing for all Egyptians” varies between low-income and middle-income housing, and another 100,000 housing units are currently being offered in the sixth phase.

Mandour added that the green housing project aims to reduce energy consumption by 27%, and second-hand emissions. Carbon dioxide by 33%, water consumption by 40%, while reducing solid waste by 70%, using environmentally friendly building materials and increasing green spaces.

He stressed that these projects enhance the opportunities for low-income families to obtain Low-cost housing while reducing monthly costs for basic services and achieving a better quality of life.
